Quality Control is the last line of defense before your items ship. These essential QC tips will help you spot problems early and make confident decisions about every item in your haul.

The QC Checklist

Before approving any item, run through a systematic checklist. Start with overall shape and silhouette, then move to details like stitching, logos, tags, and materials. Never rush through QC photos, especially for expensive or rare items.

• Overall shape matches retail silhouette
• Stitching is even, straight, and uses correct thread color
• Logo size, font, and placement are accurate
• Interior tags and wash labels are detailed and correct
• Materials look and feel appropriate for the price tier
• Color matches retail under neutral lighting

Using Reference Photos

Always have retail reference photos open in another tab when doing QC. Compare side by side zooming into the same areas. r/Sneakers and StockX photos are excellent free references for shoes. For clothing, check the brand's official website and lookbook images.

When to GL vs RL

GL means Green Light or approve. RL means Red Light or return. GL items that match your expectations and have only minor, acceptable flaws. RL items with obvious errors, wrong colors, bad stitching, or sizing issues that will affect wearability.

Common Batch-Specific Flaws

Every batch has known flaws. LJR Jordan 1s sometimes have slightly thick toe boxes. PK Yeezys may have pull tab placement issues. Budget batches tend to have more material and color inaccuracies. Knowing your batch helps set realistic expectations.
